1. Parties

This Service Agreement ("Agreement") is between Equipment Sales NW, located at 1234 Columbia River Hwy, Troutdale, OR 97060 ("Company"), and the customer authorizing service ("Customer"). By delivering equipment to the Company or authorizing a pickup, the Customer agrees to be bound by this Agreement.

2. Scope of Work

The Company will perform only the service(s) authorized by the Customer. Service options include:

  • Basic Tune-Up — oil change, spark plug, air filter, blade inspection, safety check
  • Full Service — all Basic items plus carburetor cleaning, belt inspection, deck leveling, blade sharpening
  • Pre-Season Prep — all Full Service items plus battery test, tire pressure, greasing, operational test, written condition report
  • Diagnostic & Repair — diagnosis of reported issues; repair authorized separately after estimate

Any work beyond the authorized scope requires additional written or verbal authorization from the Customer before the Company proceeds.

3. Estimates & Authorization

For diagnostic or repair work, the Company will provide a written or verbal estimate before beginning repairs. The Customer must authorize the estimate before work proceeds. If the Customer declines the estimate, a diagnostic fee of up to $45 may apply to cover inspection labor. Package pricing (Basic, Full Service, Pre-Season Prep) is fixed and does not require a separate estimate.

4. Pickup & Delivery Service

When the Customer requests pickup and return service, a flat fee of $100 applies for locations within 20 miles of Troutdale, OR. This fee covers one pickup and one return delivery. The Customer is responsible for ensuring the equipment is accessible and safe to load at the scheduled time. The Company is not liable for delays caused by inaccessible equipment or unsafe loading conditions. Pickup fees are non-refundable once the pickup has been completed.

5. Turnaround Time

Estimated turnaround times are provided as a courtesy and are not guaranteed. Standard turnaround is 3–7 business days depending on service type and current shop volume. The Company will notify the Customer of any significant delays. The Company is not liable for losses resulting from service delays.

6. Payment

Payment is due in full upon completion of service and before equipment is released to the Customer. Accepted payment methods include cash, major credit/debit cards, and approved electronic payments. Equipment not picked up within 30 days of service completion may be subject to storage fees of $5 per day after written notice to the Customer.

7. Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information about the equipment and the issue being reported
  • Ensure the equipment is drained of fuel if required for transport (ask staff if unsure)
  • Remove personal belongings from the equipment before drop-off or pickup
  • Be reachable by phone or email during the service period for authorization decisions
  • Pick up equipment within 14 days of notification that service is complete

8. Limitation of Liability

The Company's liability for any claim arising from service performed under this Agreement is limited to the amount paid for that specific service. The Company is not liable for pre-existing conditions, incidental damage, or consequential losses. The Company will photograph equipment upon intake and note any pre-existing damage. Customers are encouraged to review and sign the intake form at drop-off.

9. Warranty on Labor

The Company warrants all labor performed under this Agreement for 30 days from the date of service completion. This warranty covers defects in workmanship only and does not cover parts failures, customer misuse, or damage caused after pickup. Parts warranties are governed by the respective manufacturer's warranty terms.
